The 15th-century statue itself is not the main attraction here, but rather the impressive and incredibly detailed stone carvings on the walls surrounding it. This is an ideal place to visit if you are longing for a breather and spacious views after visiting too many...More

Absolutely amazing - must see as top 5 Angkor Wat locations. The wall / terrace consists of thousands of stone blocks , each of it has a ceremonial royal scene , dance , figure. The most important in Angkor Wat complex is timing and schedule....More

This terrace stands next to the Terrace of the elephants. It has been quite damaged by age, but still the stone carvings are attractive. The carvings on the inner wall are in better shape and can be seen closely. On the top of the terrace...More

A portion of a large royal palace complex right next to the Terrace of the Elephants, this additional terrace is covered in really intricate and beautiful carvings. It's sort of funny that this place was "updated recently" because, while built in the 12th and 13th...More

More carvings. Our guide suggested this stop while visiting Bayon Temple. It is only a few hundred feet from the Terrace of the Elephants. You can visit both in a short time from one parking place.

As part of a day tour we visited Angkor Thom where you will find Elephant Terrace and Leper King Terrace next to each other. Compared to other sites in the area this is not that great, but worth a short stop. This is also on...More

If you are in Angkor Thom, as you should be, then stop by and see it. Worth seeing the walk and walking around it. Doesn’t take much time, but worth the visit. The carvings are intricate and with the quick look.

I don't really like the name, but the place is great. I imagine kings and nobles gathering there for celebrations or even some banquets. Even tourist guides said otherwise, my imagination says other things!
