An under-reported aspect of this trip is the arduous walk uphill to the stream bed. The walk is uneven, steep in patches and lonely at times. Kbal Spean is a place where centuries-old relief carvings line the stream beds....you get to see tons of lingas!

Hire a tuk tuk at your hotel or hostel take a full day trip to Kbal Spean then go on to lady's Temple and choose 2 other temples for your return trip. It is a 1.5km walk in jungle to get there so most drivers like to do it... More
