We spent 2 days in and around the Bay of Kotor. Scenery was perfect. As I looked at the mountains and sky it almost looked like the painted backdrop of a movie set.

We arrived on the public bus from Budva. Easy to get there and recommended. Simple walk to the old town and the bay. The best views are obtained from a walk up the fortress steps. Hard work but well worth the effort. Remember to take...More

Plenty of photo opportunities. Would recommend driving all the way round on the Adriatic Highway so you can appreciate how the mountains rise up from the bay. Plenty of small towns and villages along the way to stop at and soak in the atmosphere. Truly...More

Took a dip in the bay when staying in Kotor. Very small and stony beaches but the water is very clean and it was very refreshing!!

We first missed the drive around the bay of Kotor and took the ferry heading south from Croatia. What a mistake. On our way back we drove right around the bay after visiting Kotor - this is more than spectacular. Dramatic mountainsides plunging into the...More

Viewing the entire Bay of Kotor from a high viewing point in the mountains is something special. This is as close to a Norwegian fjiord as you will find and indeed the only one in the Mediterranean. It is a regular destination for cruise ships...More

Yes lots of people selling tours etc the only thing we did was a boat trip over to the island of Lady on the Lake.beautifull and lovely story. Otherwise we just explored inside the old city wall. It’s truly beautifull.

There are plenty of boats doing tours from the town to the Blue Cave etc. If you walk along the port you will see many boat tour operators. Some only take 3-4 people some 10. There all small operators. I’m sure you could... More
