The old town and the city gates were nothing special. I was surprised how thick the wall was. But the old town is the money machine :)

This is a great place to stroll late afternoon and catch the sunset. You can also walk right around and find a small beach area and swim. There is also a figure looking out to see towards the end which surprised me!

Start your walk here and walk to the sea organ and the Greeting the sun solar panels and you will have a beautiful walk. Early morning or at sun set. The walk back into the city.

Impressive gates, especially the Kopnena Vrata, not far from the Five Wells Square. They look impressive, they are well preserved and again, the history behind it is worth discovering.

The gate is attractive, but rather unobtrusive and not looking heavily fortified. The winged lion on top of the gate is a nice piece of art. It is situated right adjacent to a small boat harbour.

More amazing architecture in Zadar. A great place to stop and take pictures and wander around after a busy day of exploring.

Impressive entrance in the Old city of Zadar. Just take care when you take photos of this beautiful city gate and try to do it while you stand on pavement. It's busy with cars and people usually like to stand on the road while they...More
