We took a cab from the port instead of getting a cab to the old town and then the cable car. Cheaper in the long run and we got near the old bunkers from the war, had a better vantage point for photographs and enjoyed...More
It took 45min to walk up from Pile gate to the top of the Mount Srd..prepare yourself good walking shoes, comfortable long pants and sweater (there are some spiky plants or branches) You can follow the map first but just use your instincts you can...More
We decided to take the trail walk up as didn’t want to cough up the €25 return each. Well worth it for a short hike up and to take in the phenomenal views on the way! The sunset and far reaching views are well worth...More
Srd is not a mountain rather a hill about 400 meters tall my wife and I walked up and down on the switchbacks in about two hours great views from the top, there is a restaurant at the top for refreshments if so desired.
Fab time walking up this steep mountain - although you can get a cable car - for the great view from the top. Museum commemorating the Homeland war is interesting and sobering. Restaurant at the top for food or drinks good but costly
Got a one way ticket up from the old town for sunset. Amazing views over the city, Lokrum island and out to the elaphati islands. We got an Uber back to pile hate for 75 kuna which was less than the trip back down.
We spent 1.5 hours because we waited for the sunset and it was all worth! If you have the time don’t miss this site you won’t regret it. Restaurants in the area are expensive. Took an Uber to get up here and down, about 20...More
My husband and I are 60+, and we walked up the "hill" instead of taking the cable car. Views along the way were outstanding, and we even ran into a herd of goats! DO NOT MISS the museum at the top, detailing the 1991 war....More
We decided to walk up mount srd when we found out that it would be EUR25 EACH for a return cable car ticket. The first part of the journey is getting to the start! Which involves walking up alot of steps. Once at the entrance,...More

Hi, The path was fine for me just very rocky/uneven in places when i was there but I took my time and it was ok. As others have said it is a gradual incline so not that noticeable. There are also seats at each curve in the path once on the main part so you can rest and take photos. beautiful views ! Also do it early in the day if possible. The first part of the way is shaded by trees and cool however once on the main path there is NO shade at all so be prepared with water ,hat and sunscreen. I ate at the restaurant at the top and didn't think it overly expensive . Food was very good and staff very pleasant .. was able to sit , relax and enjoy the views. Hope this helps. Enjoy
