Beautiful for learning about Jewish life in Romania, beautiful for admiring the exquisite paintings from the first floor, some of the world's famous Jewish artists like Victor Brauner and Marcel Iancu.

It was hard to find but disappointing to discover that this beautiful synagogue housed an exhibition which was only partially ready. Nevertheless it was a chance to connect up with Romania's Jewish past
