Easily accessible by bus from downtown, this large park is full of beautiful trees. The park is surrounded by neighbourhoods with eclectic architecture. There was money here, probably up to the 1950s. Some emblematic homes by the architect Bello Reborati are definitely worth checking out....More

I think by El Prado they mean a large park you can wander through. We found the botanical park on the east side, nice. We found some bars just west of that. We found a football stadium with a game about to start but no...More

This is the neighborhood where the Blanes Museum and the Botanic Garden are located, and also the premises for the annual cattle show. The streets are beautifully lined with trees. It`s a good spot to walk around and check out this little area of the city

Great little area of the city. Nothing life-changing or revolutionary here, but a solid spot. There are a lot of beautiful houses in this area. A lot of them quite old. Good spot to walk around and just check out the area.

At Prado you have stylish old mansions, beautiful churches, the botanical gardens and much more. Every year around Easter you may also join in the celbration of a weeklong fair called the Semana Criolla de Prado. This is the real Uruguay.

I don't quite understand how this location has become #15 of the things to do in Uruguay. Prado is a very nice neighbourhood in the West side about a 20 minute drive from downtown with fancy houses, a large park and it's all safe to...More

I spent several hours walking around the Prado. It is a perfectly pleasant park, if you're looking for something to do in Montevideo. But otherwise it did not seem to me worth a trip.

On Easter Sunday, we took in the Criollo Gauchos rodeo at the fairgrounds in El Prado. Wow! Brave cowboys riding wild bucking bronco horses! A great time watching and taking photos!
