Even on the Golden Week, there was a ton of people visited this area, I couldn't see trash, no pickpocket, pushing, etc... very well-organized and safe. Convenient by taking metro.

Wooooooo Went here on holiday period. Was a mass of people. Interesting however if you have been to an old section of a Chinese city they all appear the same. Maybe I’ve seen too many. But if you haven’t then worth a look

View is nicer at night when the street is fully lighted up as well as for those interested to do the river cruise. There are plenty of shops selling the same thing along the streets (pastry/sourvenir). So do not worry about missing or forgetting any...More

While in Nanjing the river boat tour on 'qin huai' is a nice way to see some of the things 'behind the scene'. It is not very expensive and gives you some additional insights of the city.

Some lovely old Chinese architecture based on the edge of the river. However it can be very busy and is full of different shops making it more like an outdoor shopping mall!

if you get the chance to take a boat ride up and down the qin huai its a good experience. the scenery along the shores is ancient and gives a glimpse into china away from the tourist scene.

A historical river in Nanjing. But there are a lot of people there! And the area surrounding the river became extremely commercial. Although you can take boat tours there, it's still quite noisy and busy & I personally don't really enjoy a place with so...More

The most famous river in Chinese literature. It had been mentioned in many books and full of stories. Really different experience from other cities.

Must have a boat ride along the river , Night is very beautiful and more colorful all around this area. They have decorated the boat very well. I enjoyed well. Recommended to visit there in the evening or night.
