The Star Ferry is a fun and easy way to navigate between Kowloon and HK Island. I would recommend purchasing an Octopus card, similar to an Oyster card in London, except you can use it for a variety of transport options and even buy items...More

Great to see this piece of historical transport working in this frantic city, best value for seeing the city's skyline even better as night falls

It is simple and cheap and a fun way to get across the bay. Bundle up if it is cold it is completely open to the elements.

Cheap, efficient, fast, on time, easy-to-use. $2.70 HKD to get across from Kowloon to Central Pier Hong Kong - takes like 10 minutes and run frequently. Vending machines super-easy to use - they spit out change from $20 HKD bill or less along with a...More

I like to combine this with watching the symphony of lights from avenue of the stars in TST. Imagine yourself back in time and crossing the harbour during the British era of rule, when the MTR didn’t exist or the car tunnels. This was bread...More

The ferry is world famous and takes you from the mainland to the island in about 5 minutes at a cost of 2.7 $HK or 30p each way. Ferries every 10 minutes or so all day and tickets easily obtained from a machine which gives...More

You will have to disembark and re-join. I did not travel at the time you ask about but it is a smooth operation and so I think you will be able to flow with the commuters.

There sure is a taxistop. Taxis are cheap compared to european prices. You’ll probably pay 5 to 8 dollar/euro for your taxi.
