We took a taxi to the museum which only cost us $4.00 and it is about 25 minutes from the Best Western Plus Hotel. A very large and modern museum. A must see place!

The main museum of Kazakhstan, the museum covers all the ages of Kazakhstan with enough artifacts to keep a visitor interested. Each floor covers a different period of Kazakh history and an extra ticket is required to visit the gold collection (would only recommend if...More

In our city tour the Museum was the best, it gives a detailed history of the Nomads and their proud heritage. The story of the gold man is well captured here, let me not spoil it for you, just visit

The National Museum of Kazakhstan is located in a spectacular and spacious modern building. It gives an overview of Kazakh history from ancient to modern times. It is an excellent place to learn more about the country.

Especially contemporary art, sculptures at every floors and excavation sections were very rich. Don’t miss to check master pieces of Batima Zaurbekova from this close. At 4.30PM, 3D city map of Nursultan is shown

Good to visit and learn about some of the country's history but felt it could've been more extensive. An hour should suffice.
