Maiden tower is one of the oldest building in Baku city. If you want to go inside there is a ticket. The view from the top is worth watching.

I did not go inside, but I did listen to all of the information and theories listed on the Old City walking tour audio. There a good bit of history and stories about this place.

Maiden Tower is in the Old Town area. We didn’t go inside the tower but walked and shopped around in Old Town. Nice souvenir shops and some snack/coffee shops in old town. A must visit for all tourists visiting Baku.

Pay respects and climb to the top to the view over this central location of the city. Nothing to write home about but it's there to be done.

The Maiden Tower is a visible and memorable point of the architecture on Old City. It is very nice point to finish your tour in Old City and go to the promenade.

Beautiful. The tower has been described as the "most majestic and mysterious monument of Baku, the Gyz Galasy", built on solid rock foundation, demonstrates right on the coast line, a fusion of Arabic, Persian and Ottoman influences. It was constructed alongside a natural oil well....More

This 12th century tower is the standout feature of the old town complete with a tragic tale from which it derives it’s name. You can climb to the top for views which are ok. On the floors within the tower there are small and only...More
