If your idea of fun is watching abused elephants chained up and poked with sharp sticks as a way of forcing them to carry fat, ignorant tourists around on “treks”, this is the place for you. If on the other hand you would rather see...More

They are called Na Mueang 1 and 2 and are wonderful natural waterfalls located in Ko Samui, precisely in the south-west part of the island, between the localities of Hua Thanon and Nathon. Easily accessible from the main road, they are a unique natural location...More

Stopped at Na Muang waterfalls partly as part of an island tour and partly because it is recommended as a 'must do' activity. The lower waterfall itself is pretty enough but it is hugely busy, probably due to the short walking distance from the car...More

I cannot for the life of me understand why people rate this place. It’s vile. The water is filthy and the surroundings is riddled with litter. Locals dumped dirty nappies in the stream further up and flies are everywhere. My brother had to go to...More

Great time there.About 15 minutes from Lamai, Na Muang is a set of two waterfalls set in the lush jungles of Koh Samui. The hike to the top of the falls will take around 2 hours. Wear proper footwear for the moderately challenging hike as...More

Can hardly call this a waterfall, more a trickle of water and overcrowded. On arrival you have the sad and awful sight of tethered elephants swaying back and forth from frustration. It is a fact the elephants here are abused, having visited the elephant sanctuary...More

It's not a waterfall. This is not where you go to admire falling water, but it is an extraordinary place. Take an ice chest, your friends, family and loved ones on a hot day to chill in creek as water flows about you. There are...More

Beware!! They do elephant trekking at this waterfall. Horrific to see them chained with huge steel seats on their backs and swaying back and forth(they sway due to no social interaction) Very sad sight to see that upset our party. Time this barbaric industry was...More

The big signs of this place and the notion of it in all cheap tour offerings makes this place a touristic magnet. The people selling fruit and other food raised prices high, even for parking your scooters you have to pay. Well ok, lets help...More

Very touristic for a quite disappointing piss stream of water. However nicely located in the Forrest which keeps area quite cool.

Yes it is safe if you just stay next to the waterfall and do not go deep to the forest.
