I was fortunate to see an archery competition using traditional wooden bows and arrows. Catch one if you can as it’s a great spectacle, especially if someone hits the target, which is some distance away, because the opposition performs a special song and dance.

One of the best place to witness a game of traditional and modern archery. Which is a national sport of Bhutan. If you want to take some good picture of archery match then this is one of the best place to be. Almost all the time there is a tournament being played.

We’ve only tried archery once (a series of lessons in the UK) but asked to go here in recognition of it being the national sport - (we have no interest in soccer but I must say it is a pretty unique stadium!). It was very impressive to see a small competition going on -
