Primarily a fish market but without that strong fishy smell. Fish arranged in artistic stacks on ice. Strong competition from small eateries on perimeter of market to get you to select your fish of choice which they then prepare & serve to you alongside salad,...More

It's true that the market is important in history but it is really not worth visiting. The famous fish market was actually small and disappointing. The oyster there is worth a try.

Interesting market and we bought some local spices and had lunch. The owners served us with a smile and the food tasted very home made and authentic

Shops can be quite aggressive, over priced. Lots of local Casablanca style food, at average prices. This part of Casa can be really, really dirty at times. A genuine, for better or for worse, Casablanca experience.

This was a highlight of Casablanca for us. Pick your fish or have them slice of a hunk of swordfish, a few oysters, some fresh vegetables, all beautifully grilled by one of the market restaurants. Wonderful!

Don't miss the fresh seafood. This is in the top five of all of our meals in Morocco. Fresh sardines, big and bright oysters, and whatever fish looks good to you. Not expensive at all. No problem with ordering or service despite our limited French...More

I'd skip this market and go directly to Quartier Habous. A lot of "airport art" here, so not really worth the visit

We visited these markets on the way to the tramstop out the front of them. It is mostly a food market, although you can buy other things like a bathroom basin made of granite with imbedded fossils! We were not harassed by the stall owners,...More

The Marche Central is where ordinary people shop. It has colourful and interesting stalls, especially for meat and fish. Fresh fish of every variety! It is along Blvd Mohammed V so you'll be close-by anyway. Take a wander through.

There were some great antiques in the market. I didn't particularly notice cushion covers (I wasn't looking) but saw some great jewellery.
