What a humbling experience. Just to think of all those men and women. Who answered the call of our nation and die defending our freedom.

By visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, you begin to understand how many heroes stood tall, courageously defending freedom, and ultimately giving their lives to that cause. This is a historical landmark that will live in your hearts and memories forever.

To see all the names of innocent soldiers who lost their lives in a war that couldn’t be won makes you think of the value of life.

The memorial in itself is a beautiful addition to the Mall, but on its own it's just a wall. It needs an explanation, especially to the younger generations and so if you are not a history buff yourself consider a guide to help you get...More

If you are just looking at this one memorial it will not take more than 20-30 minutes. However the memorials are all very close and in walking distance.

I think the Vietnam memorial is between the Foggy Bottom (GWU) and Smithsonian metro stops.
