The old town wall and towers can be seen very easily from many parts of town. They have been well preserved and are stunning examples of the many historic buildings in Tallinn.

Another wonderful part of this beautiful city, information boards give you all you need to know and in various languages. The upper walkway is good as is the climb (steep) up inside the towers

We walked all the open sections of wall (there are 3 or 4 but all can be vistited on the Tallinn Card) and climbed all the towers (that's where being a bell ringer helps - there are lots of spiral staircases with steep steps).

The old walls are much better viewed from outside the old Town. It is easy to meander through gates and gaps in the walls.

It's necessary to climb the narrow spiral stairs in the towers to get better views. Not everybody's favourite!

Have a good look at the workmanship of the walls as part of your walk through the old town. Beautifully maintained.

We visited Tallinn Old Town when our cruise ship was berthed in the port of Tallinn for the day. As we walked up from the port towards the Old Town from the port, we gained our first view of the spectacular city wall. It was...More

Walking around the base of the old town wall pass very nice. The area is well maintained no litter anywhere. The towers are really tall but then again I am short

We had a bus ride from the ferry to downtown. It was included with our tour but it is a very walkable and compact city. It's a great place to pick up hand made gifts at any price range.

There are free bits and bits that have a small charge. We paid for a small section because there were other things to see there,. You just need to wander around the town and everthing is clearly signed and you just stumble... More
