This park, located behind the Great Dohany Street Synagogue, is small in size but amazing to visit. The memorial to Raoul Wallenberg is an amazing structure and the Tree of Life - a large willow tree like installation is moving to see. I would definitely...More

No memorial can do justice to all that Raoul Wallenberg was able to accomplish during his way too brief life. I found it very moving to see this memorial to him so close to the Dohany Street Synagogue (Great Synagogue). There were many tourists in...More

While this is a park, simply remembering the person and the stresses the Jewish people have gone through is worth the visit. Lest we forget.

A beautiful setting on the grounds of the Dohany Street Synagogue behind the Synagogue itself and in front of the Jewish Concert Hall. A very touching memorial - essentially shaped like a tree with leaves bearing the names of Hungarian Jews who lost their lives...More

Situated behind the Great Synagogue, the Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Park can be found. With the huge silver weeping willow tree of life in the centre. Each leave baring the name of a victim. Just walking around the park/garden will be thought provoking and extremely interesting.

The Raoul Wallenberg Holocaust Memorial Park is located immediately behind the Dohany utca synagogue and it is a moving tribute to the many who died during the Holocaust. In the center, there is a metallic sculpture, reminiscent of a weeping willow. Some of the leaves...More

Central to this memorial, is a metal weeping willow tree with metal leaf shaped attachments that have the names of Hungarian WWII murdered ones. On the dark, cloud-covered day I visited, it was especially meaningful. It gives the viewers time to reflect on who they...More
