Did this trip as our choice for an off The Ghan train trip. It was very good, the scenery was wonderful and the cruises on the top two gorges were really good. The only issue is the walk between the gorges which is uneven and...More

Took a trip out to Cutta Cutta Caves as we had heard the one hour tour was well worth it. We weren’t disappointed. Paul, our tour guide, was very good and the information supplied and the tour of the caves themselves a great experience. Amazing...More

Outstanding, better than expected. Wonderful commentary. The understanding of the creation is so interesting compared to that of The Grand Canyon.

We were on the 3 hour 2 gorge with a swimming experience tour. The tour check in is 400m from the visitor centre so give yourself enough time to get there. There was the first of many water coolers that offered refills for your water...More

We selected the Nitmiluk two gorge cruise as our off-train Ghan excursion in the Katherine area and had an enjoyable time. The guide was informative and there is an easy walkway between the two gorges, where there is also a rock art site. The views...More

I absolutely loved the dawn cruise with Sam. She was so knowledgeable about the area, the local flora and fauna, and even talked to us extensively about bush tucker and rock art. The rock art talk was definitely my favourite part of the tour

I am pretty sure that the gorge is closed for such activities in the wet season into May because the crocs move in during the wet. It’s not until sometime after May when they have cleared the crocs out that it reopens for... More

Yep and we loved it. It starts with a bus ride from the train station to the Gorge - maybe about 20 minutes. Then you queue up as they load the boats and the tour of the gorge commences. It is simply spectacular. High red... More
