My daughter had never seen snow prior to this trip to New Zealand, and so we made a point of finding suitable places to go. Coronet Peak was recommended as it is located quite close to Queenstown and is easily accessible by car. There was...More
I spent two days out of my week snowboarding up there and didn't have the greatest time as the snow was not at its best.

We were visiting from overseas and the kids just wanted to see and play in the snow. Coronet peak is close to Queenstown on a lot shorter and better road than Cardrona. There is a designated kids play zone and toboggan area with toboggans available...More
Certainly a must do while in Queenstown. Minutes from CBD. Can drive up but make sure you carry chains in winter. If in doubt ask a local. Look at for those wayward snow balls. Some of the local kids are little terrors!

To use any of the lift facilities a pass is required. The Learners area and passes are obviously cheaper than an all lift pass. Pricing starts at $64 for an adult Learners area lift pass. Unfortunately a Sight Seeing pass at $30 can only be used once to go up a lift. By all means have a look on our web site at packages as well as they are aimed at reduced pricing across different aspects of your intended experience.
