Very nice displays and artifacts about the area and the island. It will give a better understanding of the Maori people and the struggles when the explorers and settlers came. I would spent about an hour here.

This museum is huge and offers a lot of history. The information of the Maori was spectacular and all areas in the museum offer a lot of history. They also offer a nice cafe.

Not a bad little museum. We were a little pressed for time so did not linger over the exhibits. There is a good variety of them. Probably best if you have a couple of hours to fill. If you’re driving, there is metered street parking...More
