Queen street is very long and has an incline. It is very busy with many cars and many people. There are many shops and restaurants to suit any taste and wallet.
Back when I lived there in the mid 2000's there was a better selection of shops to suit my tastes. Today many of those quirky shops have gone (even the ones on K rd). I don't particularly think Auckland CBD is anything special, certainly not as good as Melbourne City. Queen…
Nice street with a lot to see and do. It is full of nice restaurants and shops and some limited night life. The small streets off Queen Street are also nice to explore. Allow a couple of hours for the walk.
It starts at Queens Wharf and runs up the hill for about three KM and is the main thoroughfare un Auckland and a fairly typical strretmin a major town with one or two historical buildings such as the Auckland Town Hall.
