Away from the city. Where day to day farming and agriculture live goes on. Read up on the area before visiting. There are so many hidden gems.

Lovely drive once you are up on the Tablelands, I am not a fan of winding roads and the trip up and down involved winding roads however still worth the trip

The weather was perfect, not too hot not too cold. I was lucky enough to stay with a friend who lives overlooking Lake Tinaroo, so I had a very good guide to how me around

The tablelands are picturesque and offer a variety of places to visit - waterfalls, rainforest, volcanic lakes. Interesting small towns. A crystal display, woodwork and other crafts.

Van park was on the Southern end of the town and a most pleasant venue. Popular tourist sites where mostly less than 40 minutes away. Weather was better there than Millaa Millaa. Modern shopping centre with a surprising array of general shops in the town....More

With a little bit of research you can map out and drive a several hour loop to one wonderful waterfall after another. Stop along the way at the platypus farm and have a crocodile kabob. Very scenic and worth the time. You even get a...More

We just stayed at On The Wallaby. It was economy friendly, clean, cosy, super friendly and the food is sourced locally and is excellent. Not over the top prices either. Highly recommended!
