Impressive building located very close to Circular Quays. Inside there is a large scale model of the harbour area at floor level which you can walk over on the glass floor panels. A good place to obtain general information about the city so acts as...More

Many people miss the opportunity to visit this free source of information, plenty of maps guides etc and an impressive scale model of the city. Up to date newspapers available to read in comfortable surroundings. Lovely staff with passion for what they do.

This place is just across from the Circular Quay station/ferry and is a great place to pick up some maps, brochures and postcards. It’s sort of like a visitors’ centre I think. There’s an amazing miniature of the city IN the floor and the exterior...More

Looked like just another library, but so much more. Brilliant display of maps of Sydney through the years. Peaceful haven on Circular Quay, free WiFi as well!

Customs House is a beautiful heritage building right across the road from Circular Quay with free exhibitions. At present the exhibition covers the history of Sydney Harbour. It shows changes in the face of Circular Quay over the decades which is very interesting but for...More

If you got about 30 mins to kill in Circular Quay why not pop into the Customs House since it's basically a 2 min walk from the station. I would alike it more to a library. There are newspapers and books to read as well...More

A beautifully crafted building that will greet you once you alighted from trains in Circular Quay. Though we had not an opportunity to check inside this heritage house, just a glimpse and few photos will remind you this is Sydney

Lovely building with lots to see inside and out. There's a temporary exhibition with many old maps of Sydney on the lower 3 levels, well worth a visit.

This is a lovely building near the harbour, but unfortunately it was not open to the public for some reason when we arrived, so all we could do was admire its exterior.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
