Roads up from Broome not the best due to ongoing roadworks. But Wow, worth the drive. Walked along the beach and around the cliffs and explored the little caves. A glorious swim in the ocean. The colors were so beautiful.

We came here as the first stop (after Broome) on a tour of the Kimberley. They were doing a lot of road work and I understand that the road will be largely sealed within a year which will make it an easy drive from Broome....More

First time with a camper trailer to Cape Leveque and stayed at Kooljaman camp site. Their are two great swimming locations, being the Eastern Beach or go a little further by vehicle ( tyre pressure 18psi) towards the boat launch area for the best beach....More

What a beautiful part of Australia! Whales swimming by, amazing sun rises and sunsets. Road in a bit dusty but well worth the effort

Yes, there is a roadhouse at Djarindjin self service with machine which has fuel.

Quite good. Sealed for most of the way and then dirt but smooth; because it's maintained by grader from time to time I'm told.

There is a petrol station in One Arm Point and at the roadhouse in Djardinjin. You can get a day pass for Kooljaman at Cape Leveque at the office on the way in. Day passes are currently $5 per person for walk-in access and... More
