Well known for its beauty, we have spent 4-5 hours in Mont St. Michel. Worthy and educational. Public facilities like restrooms are adequate.

This is absolutely awe-inspiring effort. The Abbaye is as beautiful as is captured in pictures. You have to have good mobility to climb the many stairs and steps tho there are benches and places to rest along the way. We did an audio tour which...More

We are so lucky to have a chance to visit this place on such a beautiful day and this place is 4 hours from Paris one way. We did it on our last day in Paris.

Take a walk along the ramparts, follow the narrow pathway, climb the cobblestoned stairs... and discover the ocean view, it will certainly be a magical moment when you see the uncovered ocean floor. Don't forget to enjoy the shops at the beginning, and a crepe...More

Most of the info online about how to get to/from Paris was accurate with some exceptions: (1) It is true the bus to SMS from Rennes is coordinated with the train from Paris to Rennes, but it is NOT true that you can buy the...More

Stay on the island if you can. The hotels are old, but it's a wonderful experience being on the island after all the day-trippers are gone!

Depends on age and their interest in the history and architecture. I would say the tours are more for interested adults.
