Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Walking in the city centre you can visit Piazza del duomo. Nice walk in this square, busy, there's the tourist info as well. You can visit the tower paying the ticket and have s nice view of the Piazza from the top of the tower.

Lecce old town is a Baroque jewel with amazing Churches all over it.
There are two main squares in the area - this one, Duomo Square and Piazza Santo Oronzo.
Duomo Square is dominated by the Duomo Cathedral and its tall bell tower you can climb. Aside is a beautiful Bishop's palace.
Contrary to the Sant Oronzo square there are no cafes and restaurants around, so the place is quieter, specially at night.

This large piazza is bounded by beautiful Baroque palaces including and The Bishop’s Palace, the imposing bell tower, and the Duomo. It is 360 degrees of Baroque beauty.

A stunning Piazza, there were no tours available so we walked around. A visit to the Bell Tower is well worth a visit.

We had the pleasure to live on this wonderful Piazza, where, aside from the Baroque palaces , there are remnants of ancient Roman buildings

You have to visit this and go into the Duomo and marvel at the Bell Tower. You can pick up a little train here which takes you on a 50 minute tour of Lecce.

We had delicious ice creams from the shop opposite this square a couple of nights during our holiday. We ate them in this beautiful, calm place

This is an incredibly gorgeous looking piazza which we were lucky enough to be staying literally two minutes' walk from, meaning that we saw it at various times of the day - each different light brought out different aspects of the buildings' beauty. The base of the bell tower was behind hoardings when we visited (early April 2022) but otherwise everything was easily seen.
This is also the place to buy tickets for the main baroque churches, seminary and sacred art museum (definitely worth the 9 Euros for the combined ticket).
