Castles are always fun and I never tire of visiting them. Entry is part of the museum, and was a pleasant visit.

Castellina in Chianti is well worth visiting for the shops and restaurants as well as some beautifully restored ancient architectural gems including the castle in the centre of Castellina

Visited Christiana in Chianti in October. What a lovely little Tuscan town. In the centre of it all is this castle with very unique architecture. It makes for great pictures from the piazza in front and from the surrounding countryside. I didn’t realize you could...More

It's a really nicely restored castle and affords some superb views across the town and surrounding countryside. There are some nicely arranged Etruscan exhibits, and the pleasant young lady curator offered us a small tablet computer with pictures and narration in English, but neither she...More

While walking around the town, we stumbled upon Rocca di Castellina and it was so incredible to see! This area is perfect for a day trip from Florence. So many amazing areas to take photos of -- especially the little church!

Castellina in Chianti is a great and picturesque small village in top of one of those great Tuscan hills and La Rocca is the highlight of the village. It has great historical significance as it is where the Chianti league was based as pace keepers...More
