This is a must for any Beethoven lover. The building is beautiful in its simplicity enhanced by the various displays. Peace and tranquillity in abundance it was almost as if he was in the next room.

This is literally my first place to go after my plane touches down Vienna. I have to move this time sink to my schedule’s very beginning – by far it’s the least-central attraction of my trip, requiring a ten-minute train ride from the Mitte Station...More

This basically was 6 small rooms that were self-directed. There are a scattering of posters, handwritten letters and music, and a few hands on exhibits. Really not much, especially considering Beethoven's impact on music. I have to recommend skipping this one.

This outranked the other composer museums, and there's a lot of them in this storied city! The reason being that this was the residence of the magnificent Beethoven and the pieces and exhibits here fully insert you into his life and the era! A wonderful...More

My family and I (3 adults) went to the museum without great expectations based on the mixed reviews. The items on display, music integrated throughout, layout and thoughtfulness of each item displayed was outstanding! We learned so much about the composer, the period, and Beethoven’s...More

This museum, on the outskirts of Vienna, takes a bit of finding - U4 to Heiligenstadt, turn right, then find Gringingzerstrasse on the left. After a bit, you will see signs for the Beethoven winery - go right there, and Probusgasse is on the left...More

If you admire the great composer you should visit this museum. Beethoven stayed in this small village in 1802 for healing in its thermal bath. Here after he understood that his deafness will only increase Beethoven wrote the touching tragic-romantic Heiligenstadt Testament (a letter to...More

In November 2017, the Beethoven Museum has been extended. 265 m², 14 rooms grouped in six units. I’ve loved this museum very much and wish to return there! The house and the garden are nice. The price is reasonable. You can learn about, Beethoven's move...More

Getting to the Beethoven museum is an adventure in its own right. Take the U4 to the end of the line at Heiligenstadt and then follow your google map for about 15 minutes and voila - you find the museum. The admission fee is 7Euro...More

Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most
romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its
many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby
Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls
through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of
a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are
Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns,
and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill –
