On a hot day a horse cart ride was much appreciated down the narrow, winding streets...A wedding was going on at the church, but otherwise the town was quiet. Only 400 wealthy residents but lots of tourists...A lovely place.

A must see. Intact, ancient walled cities are pretty rare. Mdina ticks all the boxes. But extremely disappointing that there was a €10 entrance charge to the Cathedral. We visited numerous cathedrals and churches and chapels across Malta and Gozo and none charged entrance. On...More

It’s free to walk into this quiet maze of light stone buildings and houses, polished streets and occasional places of interest. There are a few cars - but then people do live there. Incredible panoramic view from the walls. Super restaurants. Free exhibition and tool...More

Lovely city. Great weather. Relaxing city to stroll around and enjoy the scenery and old buildings. Stop off at a local cafe and enjoy the hussle and bustle around you.

Very interesting and would have like to spend more time there but waited an hour an a half for the red hop on bus only to be pickpocketed in the crowd. Visitors beware.

City on the hill - standing tall and elegant. Interesting streets to wander - be sure to wander off to the small alleys, you won't get lost. Stop for a coffee or gelato - just have a lovely day out.

Incredible history. Fantastic restoration project completed. Every house, door way and building, has a story to tell. Well worth a visit. Had our evening meal at The Medina Restaurant. Good meal and friendly attentive staff.

Caught the bus from Valletta to mdina and enjoyed a couple of hours walking around the streets. Visited the cathedral which was very beautiful and the museum which had some really interesting exhibits. Worth a visit.

We took a bus and I believe it was less than 30 minutes. We didn't hit a lot of bad traffic, esp. once you are outside of Valletta. There is a bus info station just above the cruise ship pier....walk up the road that goes... More
