A very nice small museum. Plenty of things to see about how shipbuilding in acient crete/greece/hellas was done. The kids will like it and only 2€ entrance fee.

While searching a restaurant in the old port, we passed by the very impressive Neoria, the ancient shipyard, large and massive.

A Neoria is a part of the shipyard. There is currently nothing on display, it is being used by the harbour as a shipyard building.

It is really impressive to see what the determination and ingenuity of folk can achieve.This small museum explains how a replica Minoan boat was built so that it could sail/be rowed to Athens for the Olympics. It is facinating.
