I visited Church of Kapnikarea in August 2019. It is located at the end of Ermou Street. It is a very interesting and rich little church full of icons and other artifacts. It is worth stopping here for a quick visit and a very good photo opportunity from the outside.
Perfect summer evening walking through the heart of Athens - lots of people, shops, street musicians and....an ancient Orthodox church. Spectacular.
