We really enjoyed the view of Lisbon from this overlook but the construction underway detracts from your ability to see what you normally would. I don’t know when it is scheduled for completion but it will be a much nicer place when that happens.

We barely missed the Gloria funicular so we walked up from the Baixa district instead of waiting. Part of the plaza was barricaded off including the lower geometric garden composed of statues of heroes and gods from Greek and Roman mythology, such as Minerva and...More

Another amazing high point in Lisbon. This smaller garden/park space has a fountain, monuments, and many benches. There are stalls for food and beverage vendors making this a great place for lunch. The sweeping view of the city from the northeast to the southeast includes...More

The view is marred by building work which means you can’t reach the railings. And most of the view is only visible through a high fence. Still very pretty but manage your expectations!

The view is slightly marred by all the work that is going on. I would love to see it once it is done but the views are great anyway. Use the gloria funicular if you want to save your legs.

While the park has couple of statues and one bar/cafe. It's average at best. However, the best part of amazing view over looking the city and the ocean. Definitely come early in the morning or sunset.

The stabilisation works at the Alcantara Miradouro were due to start in May 2017 with a completion "deadline" of 150 days. Almost two and a half years later the work is still not complete. It seems to have ground to a halt and the two...More

View point over the city and a view of St george from another angle. The gardens were undergoing renovation, we sat and rested for about 30 mins, quite peaceful. From here it is a good walk down the steps to Baixa shopping.

Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantera is on the opposite side of the castle in the Barrio Alto district. It offers views of the city and the Sao Jorge Castle. It is much bigger than the Miradouro de Santa Catarina. It also has a low...More

Nov 10,2018. didnt see construction but there is a tall chain link fence keeping visitors from the actual edge, I assume for safety. The view is still breathtaking and the shops and cafes lovely.
