We really enjoyed our boat trip along Aveiro’s canals in a converted salt-barge. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. Well worth your time and your €10.

Take a Gondola in Aveiro (Moliceiro) to feel something different from other places in Portugal. Ria de Aveiro is really worth for a visit.

It's a small and pretty town but not loads to do. Highly recommend a relaxing river boat trip, we went on a blue boat as suggested by our accommodation host. Local pastries are worth trying, they are not too sweet.

If you come to Aveiro you must visit the river. This city is called the Venice of Portugal. The river runs thru it and while you are on one of the boats you get to hear the history of the city. Recommended.

We wanted to stop by on our way to Porto and it didn’t disappoint. Walk along the canal, then drive to Costa Nova to see the painted houses and have lunch at Cristina’s cafe (1 block off main drag).

We included a stop in our road trip to Aveiro (the Venice of Portugal) but it's nothing close to Venice... except that there "Gondolas"... it wasn't really worth a stop

You have to go for a ride on the canals as it is part of this town. Interesting information given along the way about the salt areas and also other parts of the town.

10 euro for an adult is quite a lot for this trip. And the boat trip is not so interesting, you cannot compare at all with Venice.

Would I recommend taking one of the boat tours? Yes. Was it great? No. If you, like me are from some packed out city and the closest you get to water in your daily life is when it rains then the novelty of it is...More

If the weather is good, with sunshine and mild temperatures, this city has many attractions to visit. You can get there by train, bus or car, parking is easy. Walks on foot, can be very calm, very long and interesting. There are many shops, two...More
