Really nice attraction for all ages. The views from here are amazing and the fort is spectacular. I would love to back at the height of surf season.

Fortress nothing special but walkway to point was good but very windy. Lots of markers along the way. Worth the 3 euro admission to walk the grounds. Nice day trip from Lagos.

Sitting on the edge of the world you’d expect great views and Sagres delivers. The Fort is massive and reflects Portugal’s naval prowess. The walk from the fort to the lighthouse and back is ~2km. Lots of info posted along the way. It can be...More

Allow at least an hour to walk the inside perimeter of the fortress. We were lucky to see a family of pilot whales on the far eastern shore where a couple local fishermen were casting their rods from high up on the cliffs. Only 3euros...More

Quite a bit of walking, but well marked and laid out. Especially great if you are interested in European history! Allow at least an hour!

There isn't much to see inside the fort, but there is a nice walk along the cliff top, with gorgeous views of the sea.

The Fortaleza Sagres is located at the southern tip of the Sagres Peninsular and this uniquely designed fort protected the town from raiders from North African. It was from here that Henry the Navigator devised his 15th-century expeditions to the uncharted seas around the western...More

The views from there are stunning and worth the drive out there especially if you are in the area. Try to get there early if you are going there for the sunset as it gets really busy.
