The drive to the top is easy, wander round taking in the views while avoiding all the masts, radar domes, cafes and shops. Drive down. As it's the highest hill in the Algarve it is worth a visit but it won't be a typical 'mountain top' experience.

If you are staying in the area and have a car this is definitely worth a visit. The road up has a few view points and the view from the top is excellent although a little hazy when we were there. Usual gift shop, cafe and a more upmarket local craft shop. Excellent food

Half day coach trip to Silves, Monchique and Foia. Very busy in shop, queue for wine tasting. Lots of jostling. Next day received phone call from my wife's bank to say her debit card had tried to be used more than 3 times. She checked her purse and no debit card, no credit card
