This square is no exception. Surrounding the statue of one of Belgiums most famous 15th century artists, Jan van Eyck, are also the former customs buildings and Portersloge house.

This square is the main meeting point of the excursion groups that visit Bruges daily. If you want to buy a souvenir or find places to eat, you have better options along the streets and squares of old town.
We found this square on a walk we took around town. It is quaint, cafes, not overly crowded, and close to main area of old town. We also enjoyed a great lite lunch at a little family run cafe (Tatties).
