Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So this is an indicated walk on the high part of Liege that allows you to pass some landmarks and enjoy a nice view of the city. The idea is cool. However, please note that some parts are not opened all the time. Also, some corners there were a bit...doggy, we have had to pass some people smocking pot and having drugs twice. Also, the walks are way shorter than indicated. Nice view on Liege thought!

Some parts of Liege definitely deserve a visit: The cathedral , the "Mountagne de bueren" or the citadel, but surely other cities in Belgium impressed me much more. If you take an "on the road" trip and have to choose, maybe consider other cities like Ghent, Dinat or Bruges.

It's a steep climb up, but you get rewarded with great views over the city and the river...the citadel itself seems neglected though, nothing to visit there...just go for the workout and the view

My daughters are living in the vicinity of " les coteaux de la citadelle " Pesonnaly I visited it several times. From the height of " les coteaux de la citadelle" you have a marvellous view of the city of Liège. You can also visit and / or go up on the 378 steps of a famoes battle named " les 600 Franchimontois " with at the end all died.Have a nice trip.

The steep slope of the Citadel starts right behind the city centre and offers a stark contrast and a nice physical challenge to the visitor. Lots of green and cobble stones give it a rather rural feel, and the views are great. You get a sense of why the site was chosen to build a city, and become aware of its history and what life would have been like in this part of the world. In the meantime you can burn a few calories - always a good idea in the homestead of beer and chocolate -, and if you’re the type who always takes the lift, make some good resolutions regarding your health.

This hilly area of the Citadel of Liege is hard work to get to, but you'll be rewarded with excellent views of the city below. The views from the top of Montagne de Bueren
are excellent, but if you go further along to Belvédère Liège, the views are even clearer and better.

There isn't much to see of the citadel and it's mostly ruins. You can still walk around and see a lot of what remains as much of it is still standing. The area has paved walking paths and is a pleasant area for a stroll.

We were so lucky to have our guide takes to this hidden gem behind mysterious stairways and ancient houses and other buildings. It is poorly signposted; our guide helped direct several lost hikers. It is up many, many steps with lots of twists and turns so be prepared. All along the way I kept thinking it reminded me so much of the Filbert Steps area of Telegraph Hill in San Francisco. Once you reach the top one is rewarded with a pleasant view of Liege from a tall, tall hill. So nice!
