We enjoyed some peaceful time walking along this canal with several bridges. The canal is in the inner circle of rings that go around the Central Station and port areas. Beautifully maintained buildings.
You will definitely see this wide canal on your visit as it is along the way of your path to many sites. All the tour boats go down it. It's actually a bit of a highway for floating traffic. Not as charming as the more...More
This is the innermost canal ring of the 4 canal rings that make up the inner part of central Amsterdam. Lots to see and do and take in. Easy boat/canal rides too through the area make it a fun place to visit. You can walk...More
The Singel is a great looking canal close to Centraal and in the city center. It is a nifty area with much to admire. There is a buzz here and we liked our walk through. The Singel was originally a defensive moat.

This is a spectacular canal located in the centre of Amsterdam near to Centraal Station. Nice to walk along and look at all the beautiful houses. Also features no. 7 - the narrowest house in Amsterdam at just 1 metre wide!

Each of our previous two visits to this city had involved stays of a few days.
We had walked to the neighbourhood of Singel during each...More

The menu is short and all the food is freshly made as ordered and presented with care. The day I visited, the cook was an artist and took extra trouble to serve a beautiful crepe. I don't remember the menu, but I know I ordered their most popular crepe and it was out of this world. I suggest selecting something from menu you think will be interesting - or order the popular choice. Either was you will be very pleased.
