great views. nice activities. must walk to the lake. when in bernese oberland, you must get to first and try the activities. when you get down to grindelwald, spend 2 to 3 hours to walk the village.

Amazing views at the top of First. The gondola ride was quick and easy. We rented the mountain karts for part of the trip down. SO MUCH FUN!

First of all, I want to give credence to the bad reviews of this experience. I can definitely see the merit in the negative reviews. The First is tourity, particularly on the cliff walk. The Mountain Carts and Trotti bikes do require some skill and...More

First can be reached several ways, but most people begin with the cable car from Grindelwald. The ride and the views are great, and there are fun things to do at the top. The hike from the First station to the lake and Schnyae Platte...More

The highlight of our day was the hike from First to Grosse Sheidegg. But I digress.....we started off with the cable car up to First. All went smoothly no issues. From there we started with the hike to Lake Bachalpsee. While the lake was beautiful,...More

The Grindelwald-First journey is great fun! It doesn't matter if you ride the gondola lift there and back, or if you mix it up with different modes of transport on the downhill. We began early in the morning and didn't experience long wait times for...More

Grindelwald-First (Switzerland), top of Adventure at 7113 ft above the sea level. Dream Panorama; we had heavenly view of the glacier mountain Schreckhorn (13,379 ft) from here. Somehow, I felt Lord Shiva here! It was a breathtaking gondola and cable car ride also.

I finally decided to go to First from Grindelwald station on the 3rd and last day before I left Grindewald the following morning (sad). The cable car station was just a short walk from the lodging. Unfortunately, it was raining almost throughout my short morning...More

We had the Jungfrau pass and yes, we rode free on the cable car from Grindelwald to First. However, that activities in First (scooters/ziplines/trottibikes, etc) are not included with the Jungfrau pass.
