Check that it is on before walking all the way there as it can be turned off in high winds. Great fun for photographers especially on a sunny day!

It was pretty amazing to see the jet d’eau. Be careful not to call it a fountain, it’s a jet. Quite fascinating how they can make it so powerful!

It's amazing that this fountain jet has been a Genevan landmark since the 19th century. While there is no specific place to enjoy it, the jet provides a central landmark for the Lake Geneva lakefront. We observed it from a bus tour.

there is street parking in the adjacent area but its an easy walk from the main part of the city.

Yes, only closed in high wind to avoid spray drift. 💨💦
