Classic main drag of a historic city center. Still crowded and populated by shops. If you visit Siena you will walk up and down this street (by this name or by the other names it gets as it extends away from the Campo).

One of the major streets in Siena. Shops, cafes, restaurants.....you name it you will find it here. Worth a visit. Travelers to Rome in the middle ages used this street on their pilgrimage.

Dodging cars and their splashing, we strolled Via di Citta in the rain. Shops and small trattoria were in abundance, and the views to side streets most interesting

The streets of the historic centre of Siena have no pavements so everyone much watch out for cars and bikes. The Via di Citta curls around behind the Piazza di Campo and then continues on - lots of nice shops, restaurants etc

Via di Citta is the street behind the Campo. Lots of restaurants, shopping and bars. Fun to walk as there are many unique shops to go into. Pretty touristy but worth the walk.

Fancy shops and lovely architecture. A great street to stroll up and down between the Palazzo Pubblico on the great lower Campo and the cathedral higher up. Siena is very hilly, like Rome.

This is one of the main streets in the Old Town, going uphill from Piazza del Campo. There are many lovely buildings to admire such as Palazzo Chigi-Saracini, also smaller squares & alleyways that branch off, as well as shops & restaurants.

This Main Street starts at the Piazza di Postierla and winds its way down past the very impressive curved facade of the Palazzo Chigi-Saracini towards Il Campo and then half way around one side of Il Campo (there are however buildings in between the via...More

Via di Citta represents the essence of the medieval Siena. The ground floor shops and restaurants spoil its medieval look somewhat though. It starts at Piazza Di Postierla, curves halfway around Il Campo and splits into Via Branchi di Sopra and Branchi di Sotto.
