This is a really vibrant street with lots of designer shops, cafes and bars. Great to walk up and down and peopke watch. No trip to Taormina is complete without being here.

While we indulged in a few touristy purchases (as gifts), we truly enjoyed just walking up and down the street. Very attractive, with shops of all levels from very elegant, to very inexpensive. Many things to see - the Piazza IX Aprile is there. Little...More

Every "historical center" in Italy has a pedestrianized "shopping street" with restaurants, cafes, and shops catering to tourists. I find most of these uninteresting. Corso Umberto is better than most. More of the offerings were unique and original than other places on our trip.

Unfortunately cruisers were in town and there were a gazillion people walking around which made it almost unpleasant.

This is awesome! so many shops and just when you think you are at the end there is more. So many side streets. I love the ceramics and just sit and people watch!

Loved all the stores and window-shopping; several items in a few stores were not for sale and were in the window only for decoration which was sad for me...could not buy them.

Many shops, very uniqe.. bars and restaurants... beautiful buildings. You arrive by cable car , cost 3 euro one way. Very good to shop or to eat or just to see the most beautiful view.

Taormina is a beautiful little town looking out over the ocean. To truly enjoy it, one must wake up at the crack of dawn to walk its main street, Corso Umberto. At all other times, it is an upscale bus station. As in so many...More
