We walked across to the Pretoria Fountain which was very pretty although the square itself was run down with derelict buildings and graffiti. We had some great views of the fountain from Saint Catherine of Alexandria Monastery but up close the statues don't really have...More

You'll find the Piazza and the famous Fontana di Vergogna (Fountain of Shame) at the end of a narrow passage. The place is very depressing – surrounded by tall buildings that look threatening down on you and make you feel like you lack air. Foolishly...More

Easy to find it. Nice square but buildings should be renovated around. Good to visit together with other sights in the neighborhood.

The design is unimaginative, the quality of sculpture is so-so, the piazza itself is unimpressive. If it wasn't for the nudity and the scandal it generated (including the name), guidebooks would hardly mention it. Since you will pass it after visiting two terrific nearby churches,...More

Atmospheric intimate piazza, with ancient buildings all around, peeling but grand and the fountain with its statues and carvings in the middle.Reminded me very slightly of the Trevi in Rome but it's not so elaborate or quite so beautiful. But the whole thing is glorious.Real,...More

Could possibly be the most beautiful fountain I have seen. Walk around, over and take a look at all of the stunning statues.

Move over trevi, this fountain is spectacular and the surrounding buildings are amazing. This is an absolute must if you are in Palermo.

The fountain is very nice, especially when the sun shines:) There are bars and restaurants all around it. We have been there both:during the day and late in the evening and it was lovely.

This Piazza has often got music and dance events on in one part while there are amazing historic buildings and a remarkable fountain in the centre. It’s worth walking up the steps to the top of the fountain to see The sculpted animals at different...More
