These stairs located within the courtyard of the Palazzo Ducale were the official entrance into the building. At the top of the stairs are statues of Mars and Neptune. Not open to the public but makes for a great photo.

These are very impressive stairs of the Doge's Palace. They are quite old and very historical, so worth seeing!

This stair case should have much more street cred. Beautiful statues at the top. This was the main entrance into Doge's Palace and the link between the Palace and the Basilica. It can be viewed from either side, but you can't walk on the stairs.

This is a set of stairs built around 1490 as the official entrance to the Doge Palace. Flanking the staircase are statues of Mars and Neptune, representing Venice on both land (Mars) and sea (Neptune). These can be seen but not ascended nor descended
