Be warned! If you drive to Riomaggiore you will find that whatever satnav may say, you cannot drive in to the town, still less park there. This will mean a long hike down steep steps and an even more steep hike back up again. The...More

Went with a group tour. Only stayed for less than an hour, not enough time to fully appreciate this colorful coastal village. Will come back here on our own and maybe hike all the villages of Cinque Terre.

Ridiculously picturesque marina. Swimming off the rocks. Nice stoney beach short walk away around the headland. Get a room overlooking! Great people watching from balcony.

Great place to visit but be warned you need to be able to take stairs up and down to your room, to the port, to the beach, practically everywhere. The pebble beach was fun but hard to manage as the waves were quite rough after...More

One can travel to Riomaggiore by ferry and enjoy the colorful views of the fishing village from sea. It would be relaxing to have a cup of coffee in one of the cafes along the main road in the village and watch the sea activities...More

I'll start out by saying we only saw the teensy, tiniest bit of Riomaggiore. We took the ferry from Monterosso and this was the first stop. There are A LOT of stairs to get from the ferry dock into town, which was hard on my...More

It all depends on the weather. They do have a website you can consult before you go. Also, you can get good shots from the ferry, also weather permitting.
