Make sure to go up in the cupola di san pietro because the view inside the church from up there is very beautiful.

When you are in St. Peter basilic, you must go to cupola, because, the wiew is amaizing. You can go by lift, or by stairs.

Has to be done in person If you go earlier like 7:30am. Line is not bad

Sorry I'm so late with the answer. It's open 8 - 6 in summer and 8 - 5 in winter. It certainly would be a spectacular view at night if it were open. Peter Wynd
