Dedicated to a Christian martyr, St. Agnese, killed during Diocletian's Christian persecution times, this church was enlarged, beautified and decorated by Bernini, thanks to the wealth of the Pamphilj family, the same family that produced Giovanni Batista Pamphilj, aka Pope Innocent X, buried in this...More

This church is located on the Piazza Novona opposite the Four Rivers fountain. One of the best in Rome. Not a lot of people go inside, so it’s nice to take in all the beautiful art. It has a very holy atmosphere as well. The...More

Beautiful church, both from the outside and from the inside. In theory you can't take pictures inside, but when we visited the security staff didn't bother controlling that,. maybe because it was raining. Speaking of which, don't expect them to let you stay at the...More

This is a beautiful church which serves as a wonderful counterpoint to Piazza Navona. The Piazza is active, lively, crowded and entertaining. The church, just in front of the main fountain, is quiet, serene and a respite from the bustle just a few steps away....More

If you didn't know it was there you would walk right past it. There is no indication of it being a church. The interior is beautiful, and compares with anything else in town. Being in the center of Piazza Navano, only makes it more appealing.

Rather you believe in Catholicism or not, you'll find the story of St Agnes to be admirable. Her skull is still being persevered in the church. The inside of the church is absolutely stunning. It's ceiling and walls are covered in some of the most...More

Sant' Agnese in Agone is a baroque masterpiece with a stunning interior which includes a massive dome which soars over the space. It's free to enter though no photography is permitted. This is a must do when at Piazza Navona.

Beautiful Baroque Church with extravagant interior, beautiful but overdecorated. Alright, this church is appalling in its opulence. So much wealth was squandered on this propaganda piece it is breath-taking. From every view, this place was meant to signal power and wealth (and maybe a little...More

Worth a visit, the interior is exquisite. But people need to read the 'no photo signs'. Location in the Piazza Navona and close to the Pantheon makes it easy to plan the day and get in the sights.

The church is beautiful and in one of the most beautiful parts of Rome, piazza Navona. But the best surprise is the music during the 12:15 Sunday mass. Depending on the week, It alternates between Gregorian and Polyphonic, the two pillars of traditional Catholic mass...More

I rather think the question was accidentally posted on the wrong forum. The streets of Naples, Italy are not numbered.
