After our mid-day visit to Sagrada Familia, we visited the Sant Pau Art Nouveau site – an easy walk of about 3 blocks from Sagrada Familia, up a pedestrian street. Sant Pau is a renovated hospital site of about 9 buildings, which as they advertize...More

Walking distance from Sagrada and a highlight of Barcelona for us. We arrived at 5pm - gorgeous light on the buildings and hardly any tourists - less than 20. Great to get away from the crowds. Beautiful former hospital designed by contemporary of Gaudí. Well...More

We arrived late to this location and we a bit concerned. An hour was very adequate to explore the grounds and architecture of this abandon hospital. If you have time, the interesting tile work and many extra building details merit a visit.

The restaurant is just outside the entrance so you don't need to pay. You can see the front of the building but not the spectacular gardens and distinctive domed buildings inside the grounds.
