Go up into the tower for the best views of the city. The beauty of the church on both the inside and out is undeniable. For something different, my wife and I hit a pipe-organ performance there and experience a different side of the church....More

The signs outside tell you the times that the church is open for general viewing. We had a look after dinner. The most interesting part is the crypt so don’t miss that. There are stairs down by one of the doorways.

The Frauenkirch stands majestically in the old city of Dresden, towering over the main square. It is a real tourist magnet and is as magnificent inside as it is outside. Rebuilt after the British bombing on February 1945, many of the old, burned stones were...More

The pastel colours inside this church make it quite different to other churches. The altar is impressive With big organ pipes at the top and the ceiling is beautifully painted too. It is very light and airy and has a calm feel about it.

Beautiful church, so different from all the Catholic churches you see in central Europe. Only takes about 20 minutes to go through the church.

Always worth to visit the “ resurrected” Frauenkirche— thanks to the engaged enthusiasm of the world renowned trumpist Dresden disposes again of this archtectural jewel of church architecture— and the buildings around the church( at the Beumarkt square) have embellished the center( with one exception:...More

The interesting element is to see the two identical churches in the same large square and hearing about their history - almost inevitably about the tensions between Catholics and Protestants.
