They were doing some work on the outside when we were there but did not take away from the beauty. Inside is gorgeous. They also have a photo that shows after the bombing that this was the only survivor in the area.

In my opinion, St. Bartholomew's Cathedral is the main cultural landmark of Frankfurt. I feel its importance as well as the importance of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague.

Old church... but so restored it looks like a Disney filmset... overdone! And it closed at 20.00... so kicked out with light out at 19.50... Deutsche Gründlichkeit?

I was interested in seeing the church but was lucky enough to hear a choir practising when I arrived. Quite a crowd had gathered in the church to listen and it was really very beautiful.

A very big church that sticks out from the river. The Cathedral has lots of history and is very well maintained. If you have the chance climb the stairs for a nice cityview.

It was built about 300 years ago but was rebuilt again after the bombing from the WWII. It is one of the most prominent and biggest churches around. The Bell Tower was one of the tallest building in the past and it is still standing...More

We visited this church a couple of times. On one visit we climbed the stairs to the 60 meter observation deck and were rewarded with great views in all directions. The stairs are circular and a little tight so just know that going in. The...More

One objectively beautiful, harmonious building. Inside rather ascetic, but still interesting. with a very nice atmosphere.

If you love history, stop by and visit this historic cathedral. It served for more than 300 years as the site of coronation for Holy Roman Emperors. Although destroyed during WWII, it has been rebuilt. It's an easy walk from Romer.

They do have Mass a few times a day (there's a schedule in the front), but I don't think it's in English. Hope that helps.
